Kentucky led most of the way on Saturday night on the way to an 85-77 victory at then-No. 15 Arkansas. Otega Oweh led the way with 24 points and eight rebounds, while Collin Chandler scored 13 points and Malachi Moreno added 11. Mouhamed Dioubate blocked three shots, and the Wildcats shot 53.6% on the night in a testy matchup that featured seven technical fouls while improving to 6-3 in SEC play
Oklahoma’s losing streak extended to eight games on Saturday when visiting Texas caught fire in the second half of its 79-69 victory, shooting 72.0% after intermission. Nijel Pack scored 23 points for the Sooners, with Derrion Reid and Xzayvier Brown dropping 15 points apiece. Oklahoma sits last in the SEC at 1-8 after the loss.
The Wildcats have never lost to the Sooners in five previous meetings. Oweh averages 16.6 points for Kentucky, with Denzel Aberdeen scoring 12.3 points per game and Moreno pulling down 6.5 rebounds a night. Pack puts up an average of 16.3 points for Oklahoma, while Brown nets 16.2 points per game. Mohamed Wague tops the team with 6.6 boards a game.
