Gavin Newsom mocked Donald Trump over soaring beef prices as he continues his online strategy of satirizing the president's style of communication.
"Great work," Newsom said in a social media post showing beef prices reaching all-time highs.

Beef and veal prices have climbed almost 15% in an inter-annual basis, compared to 3.1% for food overall, CNBC noted on Sunday based on the latest CPI data.
The outlet added that the start of 2025 saw the lowest cattle numbers in the country since 1951, with severe droughts discouraging producers from retaining cattle for breeding.
Moreover, tariffs and diseases have exacerbated price increases.
"It's hard as a beef producer to necessarily say that beef prices are too high. I mean, if people are paying $6 for a latte at Starbucks, but then they're paying $6 for a pound of beef, they're able to feed a family for a family of three with that pound of beef," Taylon Lienemann, co-owner of Linetics Ranch in Princeton, Nebraska, told the outlet.
