By Tyler ErzbergerShareNewsweek is a Trust Project memberIt's been a rough week for Philadelphia Eagles fans as it's Super Bowl LX week and they're days away from seeing a new team usurp their throne as the league's champions.
But it only got worse on Wednesday, when a bombshell broke that one of the consensus best positional coaches in football is leaving his role with the Philadelphia Eagles.

"Eagles legendary OL coach Jeff Stoutland announced he is leaving the organization," ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter posted on a quiet NFL afternoon where the NBA trade deadline was the talk of the sports world.
For Eagles fans, it's a shock move, as the offensive line has been the consistent factor in the team's perennial success over the past decade, winning two Super Bowls.
Regardless of injuries to quarterbacks, skill players, or the defense, the stalwart offensive line and Stoutland's guidance have been the spine of the Eagles franchise.
The former offensive line coach for Nick Saban at Alabama, Stoutland moved to the NFL with the Eagles in 2013 and has overseen their consistent dominance in the trenches. Famed Eagle lineman Jason Kelce credited Stoutland for the success in his career following the sudden announcement of his removal as overseer of the linemen.
In his career, Stoutland has won two college national titles with the Crimson Tide and two Super Bowls with the Eagles. Before the highs of the past two decades, he began his career all the way back in 1984, when he was the linebackers coach at Southern Connecticut State University.
Stoutland is expected to stay on in the Eagles' organization in some capacity, but first-year offensive coordinator Sean Mannion will bring in his own team to shape his vision for the Eagles' offense.
Mannion, a quarterback only a few years ago in the NFL, was brought in from Green Bay following the firing of Kevin Patullo as OC at the end of the season.
